I'm Máté Ladjánszki, a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in Budapest, Hungary.
In 2016, I was named Student Photographer of the Year in Hungary, an early recognition that encouraged me to pursue photography as a career. That same year, I began studying photography at Budapest Metropolitan University, graduating in 2019. In 2020, I joined Népszava, where I spent five years as a staff photojournalist covering politics, protests and daily news.
Since going freelance in 2025, I've photographed the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo and documented everyday life during the war in Ukraine. I've also returned several times to Petra, Jordan to continue my long-term documentary project with the Bdoul Bedouin community.
I'm available for editorial assignments, sports coverage and documentary collaborations worldwide.
