In the Footsteps of the Miracle Rabbi

Every spring, thousands of Hasidic Jews travel to a small village in northeastern Hungary, hoping for a miracle.

Their destination is Bodrogkeresztúr, the resting place of Rabbi Yeshaya Steiner (1851–1925), better known as Reb Shayele. Remembered for his extraordinary generosity and believed by his followers to possess miraculous healing powers, he remains a revered figure more than a century after his death.

For a few days each year, the quiet village becomes a place of prayer, celebration and spiritual devotion. Pilgrims arrive from around the world, seeking blessings for health, prosperity and their families, united by a faith in the Miracle Rabbi that has endured for generations.
