We're moving forward, not backward

Viktor Orbán (born May 31, 1963, Székesfehérvár) had been Hungary's Prime Minister for over 16 years, making him the longest-serving head of government in the European Union. He earned his law degree at Eötvös Loránd University and later studied political philosophy at the University of Oxford. In 1988, he was a founding member of the Alliance of Young Democrats (Fidesz). He gained national recognition in 1989 for his speech at the reburial of Imre Nagy. Orbán has been a member of the Hungarian Parliament since 1990 and served as Prime Minister from 1998 to 2002 and again from 2010 to 2026.

In his personal life, he is known as a passionate football fan and played actively during his youth. He is married to lawyer Anikó Lévai and they have five children and six grandchildren.
